All six year groups from Tushingham Primary School have visited us over this lambing period to learn more about where their food comes from. This is part of our wider plan to connect the farm more closely with the local community, especially the younger generation, and embed a deeper appreciation of farming into everyday life. As well as taking the children through the sheep year, we also explored the benefits of organic farming and a balanced diet, and the importance of cutting out unnecessary food miles and buying local! We were very impressed by the quality of questions and answers we received and we look forward to working more closely with the school and LEAF Education in future.
